residents and visitors. Skaggs holds the highest national accreditation available for
medical facilities from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. (http://www.skaggs.net/AboutSkaggs/accreditation.htm)
Many of Skaggs' departments also
hold other national accreditations indicating their high quality and technical expertise. You can be assured that you and your loved ones will receive highly
professional and caring medical attention from all of their service areas.
The hospital was established in 1950 long before Branson became a tourist Mecca. However, the influx of tourists that can at times swell the population of this small town to over 40,000 has helped to make this into one of the best hospitals in the region. As a Level III Trauma center, the staff is prepared to deal with any emergency.
It is rated among the top ten hospitals in Missouri by the Center for Healthcare Industry Performance Studies and one of the nation's 100 Top Orthopedic Hospitals,
offering a full range of medical services. Skaggs Regional Cardiac Center has expanded its heart health programs to include a full range of adult cardiac surgery, including open heart.
A state-of-the-art addition houses a number of outpatient services such as physical and occupational therapy. The hospital also owns and operates 15 medical clinics in Stone and Taney counties.
Kidney dialysis and other maintenance treatments are available to all Branson visitors through the Skaggs network.
