Country music singer and recording artist Dalena Ditto has performed throughout the world and for the past eight years
has been proud to call Branson, Missouri, home. Named "2008 Female Entertainer of the Year," Dalena
performs in the
spectacular 2,200-seat state of the art Oak Ridge Boys Theatre.
Born in Guthrie, Iowa, Dalena began her career on the road
at the age of three with her parents. Her father, "Tennessee Floyd" was a renowned performer with the
Red Foley Show, Lil'
Jimmy Dickens, Johnny Cash and Ms. Minnie
Pearl. Performing with her parents across the nation in over 300 school programs
and corporate shows a year, Dalena grew to appreciate all types of music and entertainer.
After majoring in Broadcast
Journalism and Music at Iowa State, Dalena then became a morning anchor and evening beat reporter for ABC affiliate
WOI-TV in Ames/Des Moines, Iowa. During this time she was first runner-up in the Miss Iowa pageant for the Miss America
Program.
Dalena's television appearances include the Grand Ole Opry, ABC, CBS, CNN, The Vacation channel, "The
Penny
Gilley Show" on RFD and "On the Road with Al Rocker"
on the Food channel.
Dalena has produced one of the most talked
about morning shows in Branson, presenting the timeless classic country music of
Patsy Cline, Merle Haggard, Red
Foley, Jimmey Wakely and more. Dalena adds a lot of variety to the show including 50's and 60's music, dancing and comedy
guest appearances by Minnie Pearl and the "Soggy Bacon Boy."
Dalena is a talented and beautiful entertainer and surrounds
herself with remarkable talent. Each member of her seven-piece band are some of the finest musicians anywhere including
Branson's "Guitarist of the year" and "Bass player of the year." And if comedy is what you're looking for, then you'll enjoy
the extraordinary talent of ventriloquist Patty Davidson during the week and funnyman Harley Worthit' on the weekends.
Add to
all of this the most exciting wardrobe in Branson, a heart-warming patriotic salute and old-fashioned spirituals and you will
see why Dalena Ditto is Branson's "Female Entertainer of the year."
Coma and experience the excitement! |
